Tom Pierce

Tom first started working at Bouchard Pierce as an appliance delivery boy when he was a teenager. After 15 years delivering and installing various appliances, he found his niche in sales. Tom's low-key, easy-going style and vast product knowledge make his customers feel relaxed and comfortable when making important appliance decisions.

"You need to be able to get along with all kinds of people, and you have to be conversant about the product line to do well in sales. You can make or break yourself in this business, and I like that challenge," he says.

Tom's employment history includes working for large, complex corporations, where you're just another face in an office of hundreds of talking heads. He never felt comfortable with that sort of impersonal atmosphere. "I much prefer working for a small, independent company such as Bouchard Pierce," he says. "I've met a lot of really nice people over the years, and I consider that a fringe benefit of the job."

Tom was born and raised in Colchester, Vermont, where he lives with his family. For recreation, he enjoys swimming in Lake Champlain and watching movies where Clint Eastwood is the star or the director or both.
